The Colorado Lady Lightning Girls Competitive Basketball Club is proud and honored to recognize our players athletic, academic, and community excellence outside of club ball

The Colorado Lady Lightning is a Colorado based girls competitive basketball club. Our coaches develop lady basketball players skills, build teamwork, character and prepare them to be a leader on their school team. Their skills and teamwork will be highlighted through local and travel tournaments to showcase their talent in front of college coaches and scouts.

Head Club Coach and Owner Sandy Zimmerman, also know as Coach Z, was a very successful college basketball player and has been coaching and privately training young ladies at the high school, college and club levels for over 20 years. She is well known in the community for developing and mentoring lady basketball players into leaders on and off the court. Coach Z's passion is to evolve and mold each and every player so they can perform to the best of their ability. Coach Z's coaching staff will include daughter Brooke Zimmerman, who is currently playing college basketball and has coached club ball for several years. Coach Reed Rowell played and coached college basketball and was very successful in the forward and center positions.  Teamwork, perseverance, good sportsmanship and being a community leader are all hallmarks of the Colorado Lady Lightning philosophy.

Head Club Coach

The Colorado Lady Lightning club wouldn’t be where it is today if it weren’t for Coach Zimmerman. Coach Z oversees all player development and team strategy, and advises on the best course of action. Coach Z also provides one on one fundamental training that has contributed to many players improvement.
